Medina Lake Cajun Festival - Founded way back in 1980, this Lakehills, Texas festival tribute to Cajun heritage and mucsic is always held on the fourth Saturday in September. It features a Cajun Arts and Crafts fair, a gumbo cookoff, plenty of authentic Cajun food, Cajun music, and much entertainment and fun.
Taste Louisiana Cajun Music Festival - With the boast of being the "Midwest's largest authentic Cajun & Creole zydeco festival", this Deep River, Iowa Cajun fete looks like it'll do Louisiana proud (just look at the photos on their website!). Cajun, Creole, and Zydeco music as well as food and dance workshops suggest that these Yankees 'get' it!

The Cajun Company (Cajun Band) - If you were to listen to this Cajun band's music before I told you where they're from you'd swear thay can't be too far from Lafayette. You'd be wrong. 'The Cajun Company' Cajun music band hails from Holland. So authentic in their craft of Cajun music that the Cajun French Music Association (CFMA) decided to award them the best Cajun music band outside of Louisiana. That's a pretty big designation! It's such an honor to our Cajun heritage when folks from half-way around the world adopt and perfect our music.
